June 30, 2013 by admin

pic1 (1)Colin Miller, a Spring 2013 FPE/BS graduate and a new FPE/MS student, has been selected as the recipient of the 2013 John L. Bryan GRA Award. The John L. Bryan Chair endowment provides support for one Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) every year. Based on a newly revised, more formal selection process, the support is provided to outstanding incoming MS students in the Department of Fire Protection Engineering and is awarded on a competitive basis. Candidates to the Award are submitting their academic record and a proposed research project; the Award Committee includes the entire FPE Faculty.
Colin Miller will be working on a flame spread project under the supervision of Prof. Michael Gollner. His project will be focused on flame spread over discrete strips of different fuels.
