Siyan Wang, a fourth year Ph.D. Candidate in the Berkeley Fire Research Lab, was awarded the Student Scholar Award at the 2024 SFPE Annual Conference & Expo in Louisville, Kentucky for her research on characterizing emissions from wildland/WUI fuel combustion with advanced spectrometry technology. This research aims to further our understanding of the health and environmental impacts of emissions.
